Bio

Jana Lee has been at the USDA's Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) since 2007, developing biologically based solutions for pest management in small fruits and ornamental nurseries. In recent years, her program has focused on:

  • Biology and biological control of brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB)
  • Overwintering biology, flight, biological control, and non-toxic controls of spotted wing drosophila
  • Azalea lace bug phenology, cultivar preference, and non-toxic controls
  • Use of herbivore-induced plant volatiles to enhance biological control
